This morning’s OpenCoffee Club Dublin was streamed live on ustream.tv, following in the footsteps of Limerick’s OCC. You can read reviews of the event from the participants and from the viewers. Some reported technical difficulties to either get the stream or participate in the chat room but overall the feedback is quite positive. As a participant I must admit I felt a bit camera conscious!

Regarding camera
Regarding camera consciousness I completely sympathize. I felt the same way in Limerick, at least when the camera appeared out of nowhere. However it wasn’t so bad when I knew where it was or when to expect it.
I thought a few people at Dublin OCC looked a little uncomfortable at the start of the session but thawed out as it went on. In fact it was great to see how people really got involved in the round-table discussion when huddled around the laptop.
As someone who’s been attending Limerick OCC for months I had a great curiosity about the other OCCs in the country so it was great to tune in. Well done to all involved, I’m already looking forward to the next one.
